This Isn't Gonna Be Pretty

about

My way of dealing with the fury and fear and frustration and global embarrassment of a Trump Presidency. I respect the Office, but I don't need to respect the occupant. I fear that information itself is going to be turned on it's ear during these next 4 years. Keep the lines of communication wide open in the underground, and let's never stop pushing toward the light.

lyrics

This isn't gonna be pretty
This isn't gonna go according to plan
There's tracer fire over my city
They're throwing tear gas at my family
No amends to be made tonite
No concessions, no amends

My voice, my voice
The sounds grow weaker
Someone took the snips and cut the wire to the speaker

This isn't gonna be easy
This is not a matter of simplicity
Not a simple answer at the ready
Not in the Age of Mediocrity
No bulletins are coming in tonite
No alarms, no bulletins

My voice, my voice is now surviving
We're post-truth now
The facts are dead upon arriving

My voice, my voice
The sounds grow weaker
Someone took the snips and cut the wire to the speaker

Cut it
